New Freedom offers mileage assistance for individuals with disabilities who have barriers to transportation. Those who qualify for New Freedom will receive vouchers for mileage which can be used to reimburse:
- Friends and family the federal mileage reimbursement rate; and
- Service providers their rates for transportation.
Mileage assistance can be used for transportation to social, religious, employment, or medical activities. Individuals who provide transportation will be required to fill out a mileage sheet and send it to Workforce Connections, Inc. for payment.
Transportation Connections will assist eligible participants with limited funding on a first come / first serve basis to meet their transportation goals and give them the freedom they deserve.

These documents may be completed electronically and submitted via email, or they may be completed by hand and returned to your local Wisconsin Job Center.
