Information for Student Teachers and Interns/Clinicals/Field Work Students
Student Teaching, Internship, Clinicals or Field Work, plus an AmeriCorps Quarter-time position, equals a $1,250 Education Award. Examples of the report forms, fact sheets and Application forms are accessible by clicking on the documents listed below.
The requirements for a Student Teacher are:
- Complete the Application Form. (2010-11 application will be available in June)
- Complete 450-hours (once accepted, your student teaching hours count as service hours with AmeriCorps)
- Conduct a service learning project during your school assignment
- Complete a Project Proposal
- Complete a Mid-term Summary Report
- Complete a Final Report and Reflection
- Submit online biweekly timesheets
- Adhere to professional standards for the teaching profession
The requirements for Interns/Clinical/Field Work Students are:
- Complete the AmeriCorps Application Form. (2010-11 application will be available in June)
- Complete 450 Hours in a non-paid status with non-profit organization (once accepted, your internship/clinical/field work hours count as service hours with AmeriCorps)
- Complete a Final Service Reflection and Report
- Submit online biweekly timesheets
- Adhere to the professional standards of chosen profession
